Sign up for Classes

To sign up for classes, all students must attend an Orientation and take an initial assessment, which helps us place students in the classes where they will learn the most. Once students have been assessed, we work with them individually to find the best placement for them in one of our classes, which are held in various locations around the city.

To attend an Orientation Session:

  • You must register for an Orientation as space is limited. Call 614.282.7661 to register
  • You must be over 18
  • You should be prepared to stay for 2.5 to 4 hours
  • You must bring a photo I.D. (driver's license, passport, etc.)
  • You must bring $20 for the student activity fee
  • You must not bring any children
Here are our upcoming Orientations. If it is not possible for you to attend any, please contact us here or call us at 614-282-7661 to discuss other options. All Orientations take place at Columbus Literacy Council at 92 Jefferson Avenue. See a map.

Current students: Please call 614.282.7661 or email wcarreto@columbusliteracy.org if you have questions about taking a test, your class location, or if you want to change classes. Please do not come to the orientation unless you make an appointment.
